About Grant
It is a city in Newaygo County in the U.S. territory of Michigan. The populace was 894 at the 2010 evaluation. The city is on the limit between Grant Township and Ashland Township, and yet is politically autonomous of both.
The history of Grant began in 1882 when Andrew J. Squier constructed the main saw process. Before long, a railroad station was based on the Chicago and Western Michigan Railroad. Squier named the station, Grant Station, after President and Civil War General Ulysses S. Give. The people group was additionally called Grant Center because of its area in the township.
