Excelsior

This city is in southwestern Hennepin County on the south shore of Lake Minnetonka. It is about encompassed by the city of Shorewood, and a little part of the upper east fringe is imparted to the city of Greenwood. As indicated by the United States Census Bureau, Excelsior has an aggregate zone of 0.69 square miles 1.79 km sq., of which 0.63 square miles is arrive and 0.06 square miles is water.

Minnesota State Highway 7 fills in as a principle course through the city, driving east-upper east 11 miles to Highway 100 in St. Louis Park and west 41 miles to Hutchinson. The Excelsior Commons, an expansive stop arranged along the shore of Lake Minnetonka, is an openly possessed bundle of land utilized for different exercises year-round. An extensive open shoreline is situated at the northern end of the Commons.
