Eureka

Eureka is city, port, and seat 1856 of Humboldt area, northern California, U.S. Lying on Humboldt Bay, Eureka is found 275 miles 440 km north of San Francisco and around 90 miles 145 km south of the outskirt amongst Oregon and California. It was laid out in 1850 and named for the Greek aphorism on the state seal. Aha, the site of Fort Humboldt and the scene of a few Indian uprisings 1853– 65 and a slaughter of Indian ladies and youngsters 1860, created with the misuse of adjacent redwood woods and some mining action. It is a noteworthy timber and business angling focus and base camp for Six Rivers National Forest. Tourism and dairying are additionally critical, and the city fills in as a local business and transportation focus.
