Chester

Chester is a city which is famous for its amazing sites and view points and located in Delaware district, southeastern Pennsylvania, U.S., on the Delaware River opposite Bridgeport, New Jersey, inside the Philadelphia metropolitan zone. One of the most established groups in the express, the Chester territory was conceded by the Swedish crown to a guardian of Johan Printz, the legislative head of New Sweden, in 1644. After 1655 Dutch pioneers joined the Swedes in setting up the town of Upland. William Markham, the representative senator to William Penn, found his seat of government in Upland when he touched base in 1681 to build up the English province of Pennsylvania. Upon Penn's landing in 1682 the territory's first get together was assembled there. Penn presumably renamed the settlement Chester for a Quaker focus in Cheshire, England. From this early period, date the John Morton c. 1650 and the Caleb Pusey 1683 houses.
