Boring
About Boring
It is situated along Oregon Route 212 in the lower regions of the Cascade mountain extend, roughly twelve miles southeast of downtown Portland, and fourteen miles upper east of Oregon City. The Boring Lava Field, which takes its namesake from the community is found only north of Boring. There are around 80 magma vents over the zone, remainders of the volcanic action that happened there about 2.6 million years ago. The magma field reaches out crosswise over encompassing Portland and Vancouver, Washington, however the volcanic focuses are extinct. The land that would later wind up Boring had no known tenants, however the Clackamas Tribe had a camp found south of Boring, close present-day Oregon City, along the Willamette River.
