About Bennett
The Town of Bennett is a Statutory Town in Adams and Arapahoe regions in the U.S. province of Colorado. Until 1878, the town was known as Kiowa Crossing. In May 21 of that year, an overwhelming rainstorm washed out the railroad scaffold toward the east of town. Bennett is well known among locals and visitors. A Kansas Pacific Railway prepares of 25 autos stacked with scrap press was washed into the stream with engineers Frank Seldon, George Piatt, and John Bacon on board.
The town accomplished national reputation in February 2006 when ious guardians of grade school age youngsters reprimanded a neighborhood educator for indicating kids a video including Gounod's exemplary musical show Faust. Tresa Waggoner, the instructor who demonstrated the video, which highlighted incredibly famous and widely praised soprano Dame Joan Sutherland and three manikins, was required to send a letter of expression of remorse for her activities to guardians.
