About Vezirkopru
Vezirkopru is a locale of Samsun Province of Turkey. At the separation of Alexander the Great's realm the Vezirkopru area turned out to be a piece of the kingdom of Pontus with its capital at Amaseia, later at Sinope. At the point when the last lord Mithradates VI was crushed by the Romans, Pompey the Great established "another city", Neapolis, which later changed its name to Neoklaudioupolis or Neoclaudiopolis in Latin, the herald of present day Vezirkopru. In late relic, the town came back to its unique name, Andrapa, and turned into a precinct. You can come and explore this place.
Its priest Paralius was at the Council of Ephesus and sent his minister Eucharius to speak to him at the Council of Chalcedon. Paulus was one of the signatories of the letter by which the religious administrators of the Roman territory of Helenopontus, to which Andrapa had a place, challenged to Byzantine Emperor Leo I the Thracian in 458 about the executing of Proterius of Alexandria. Loannes was at the Third Council of Constantinople, Sergius at the Trullan Council. Theodorus was spoken to at the Second Council of Nicaea by his elder Marinus. Antonius partook in the Photian Council of Constantinople.
