Terme

Terme is a town, the home office of Terme District, Samsun Province, Turkey, both are named after the Terme River. Researchers have recognized Terme or its environs as the site of the antiquated city of Themiscyra. Themiscyra was an old Greek town in northeastern Anatolia, it was arranged on the southern shoreline of the Black Sea, close to the mouth of the Thermodon. The town is made reference to as right on time as the season of Herodotus who additionally makes reference to the Amazon female warriors from Themiscyra.

Aeschylus, in his play Prometheus Bound, puts the first home of the Amazons in the nation about Lake Maeotis, stating that they later moved to Themiscyra.
