Sapanca

Sapanca is a town and area in the Sakarya Province in the Marmara locale of Turkey close Lake Sapanca. The town's leader is Ibrahim Uslu. Lake Sapanca is a new water lake in Turkey, between the Gulf of Izmit and the Adapazarı Meadow. The lake has a catchment zone of 251 km², surface region is 45 km², a length 16 km east-west/5 km north-south, and a most extreme profundity of 52 m.

Sapanca Lake is situated on a structural opening, which is arranged between Izmit Bay and Adapazari Meadow and runs parallel to Iznik Lake. The catchment territory of Lake Sapanca - around 251 km2 is encompassed by mountains in the south and little slopes in the north. Water is taken from the Lake for local and mechanical needs.

The area around Sapanca has turned into a goal for day outings and end of the week vacations. Sapanca has been as of late turned into a vacationer goal, because of its dazzling common habitat and its lake, called Sapanca Golu, and in addition its nearness to Istanbul and the city of Izmit, otherwise called Kocaeli.
