About Karacabey
Karacabey is a town and district of Bursa Province in the Marmara Region of Turkey. It is located just west of the Simav River near its confluence with the Adirnaz River. Locale of Karacabey outskirts regions of Mudanya and Nilufer from east, ones of Mustafakemalpasa and Susurluk from south, one of Manyas from southwest and Bandırma from west. Karacabey is a modern territory and also a farming one. It is known as the estate territory of a unique assortment of onions. There are numerous popular nourishment production lines around Karacabey, for example, Nestle and numerous assortments of vegetables and natural products are planted in Karacabey. There is an adjacent lake called Uluabat.
The Marmara Sea is 32 km toward the north. The town is named for a Turkish officer amid the Ottoman time named Karaca Bey. The previous name of the town was Mihalich after which a cheddar was named, while its antiquated name was Miletopolis. Miletopolis was obviously the central settlement of a gathering of individuals called the Milatae, whose name was hellenized to recommend a Milesian province. Its kin colonized Gargara. Miletopolis was a suffragan of Cyzicus until the twelfth or thirteenth century. Around the finish of the 12th century, it was joined with Lopadium as an archbishopric. There are two recorded mosques in Karacabey, one being from the 14th century.
