Spiez
About Spiez
Spiez is a city and a municipality on the banks of the Thun Lake in Berne's Oberland area of Swiss Canton of Bern. It is a part of the Frutgen-Niedersimental Administrative District. Apart from the Spez City, the Municipality also includes the settlements of Einigen, Hondrich, Faulensee, and Spiezwiler. The official language of Spiez Swiss variety of standard is German, but the main language is the local version of the Almanic Swiss German dialect. Spies make all-day breaks for a relaxing stroll along the outdoor pool and lake-noise swimming cove, a cruise on Lake Thun, or perhaps a beautiful lake.
There is no shortage of fun for more energetic leisure makers - options include hiking and biking trails, tennis, mini golf, a fitness course, fishing, a skating rink, windsurfing and sailing. The vultures of the culture will be taken back to the medieval castle for the old days in their thousand year old palace church. The art and history of winemaking in the Speez has been depicted in the Museum of Vitamisk and local history. And try to go on one of the many cultural events, including music and theater, to end their day of culture. You can come here and explore this place.
