About Saviese
Saviese is a municipality in the district of Sion in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Saviese for the first time, 1200 has been mentioned as a lascivious form. In 1224 it was mentioned as Savvisia. The municipality was previously known by its German name Safiesch, however, that name is no longer used. The municipality is located on the right side of Ron in Sion district. This big municipality, which covers more than half of the total area of the district, is bernis in the north, with the Alps, and is connected to Sanenland by Sarana Pass. It includes six villages of Saint-Germain municipal capital, Chandolin, Granouis, Drones, Rumazz and Ormon, as well as many Hamlets.
There were 340 people in the primary economic zone and about 194 businesses were involved in this area. 366 people were working in the secondary sector and 54 occupations in this area. With 128 businesses in this area, 616 people were employed in the tertiary sector. There were 2,655 residents of Nagarpalika who were employed in some capacity, out of which 42.6% women worked in the work force. Since 1430, there is a canal pound located in Torrent-Nef Savage. After gradual restoration, it was closed and it was not used since 1934. In 2005, it was rebuilt by the Municipality and the Association put La Saugearde du Torrent-Nef and has since become one of Savesse's most visited tourist attractions.
