Saviese

Saviese is a municipality in the district of Sion in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Saviese for the first time, 1200 has been mentioned as a lascivious form. In 1224 it was mentioned as Savvisia. The municipality was previously known by its German name Safiesch, however, that name is no longer used. The municipality is located on the right side of Ron in Sion district. This big municipality, which covers more than half of the total area of ​​the district, is bernis in the north, with the Alps, and is connected to Sanenland by Sarana Pass. It includes six villages of Saint-Germain municipal capital, Chandolin, Granouis, Drones, Rumazz and Ormon, as well as many Hamlets.
