About Morges
Morges is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Vaud, located in the district of Morges and is also the seat of the district. It is located on Lake Geneva. Morges was first mentioned in 1288 as Morgea. It was known by the name of the German name Moresi, although this name is no longer used. There was now Morgan Lakefront with many prehistoric settlements. The largest and best known, Grande-Sit, was captured at the end of the Bronze Age. One of the wooden items in the Grand-Sitte dated dendrochronologically in 1031 B.D.
Many stilts and building structures have been preserved in CITU. A dugout of oak was discovered near the settlement and in half of 1877 it was recovered and was placed in Munshi Dehiyear at Dirte in Geneva. But ahead of the hundred meters yards in the north is the village of Versus-El'glies. At the date between 2900 BC and 2700 BC, on the basis of a layer of ceramic objects, the first settlement here returns to the Neolithic.
