Kloten

Kloten is a metropolis inside the district of Bulach the Swiss canton of Zurich. In the place of the airport lines of Stone Age settlement have been observed, on the Aalbuhl remains of a settlement from the early Bronze Age and a Roman property, in Hagenholz and Homberg stone container graves from the Hallstatt duration.

In Roman times Kloten lay on the intersection of the Roman road from Vindonissa to Brigantium with a route main from the north in the direction of Turicum; on the Reformed Churchin the existing town middle there was a Roman settlement between the first and 3rd century AD, and within the 4th century AD also a fort. Legion bricks testify to the presence of legions XXI Rapax and XI Claudia. Perhaps the name given because the middle of the 12th century as Chlotun area name goes to a formation Claudiodunum from the legion name with gall.
