About Illnau Effretikon
Illnau-Effretikon is a region in the area of Pfaffikon in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. It incorporates the towns of Illnau, Effretikon, Ottikon and Bisikon. On 1 January 2016 Kyburg and Illnau-Effretikon converged to shape the district of Illnau-Effretikon. Illnau-Effretikon is first referenced in 745 as Illenavvia and Erpfratinchova. At first the name of the district was Illnau as that town used to be the political and financial focus of the region. Be that as it may, when the railroad association was worked from Zurich to Winterthur in 1855, just the a lot littler Effretikon was in a situation to get a rail route station.
Thusly, the monetary blast caused by the railroad made Effretikon develop excessively until the point that it had outgrown Illnau by the start of the twentieth century. The name of the district was at long last changed to Illnau-Effretikon in 1973. On 1 January 2016 the previous district of Kyburg and Illnau-Effretikon converged to shape the region of Illnau-Effretikon. The district of Illnau-Effretikon is served by two railroad stations.
