Mauritius is a famous tourist destination which has beaches and a variety of water sports for people to enjoy. It is a beautiful place and is preferred by a large number of tourist. The visa for this country is on arrival but one can get before hand to avoid standing in a queue and facing any kind of difficulty. The procedure to obtain Visa is stated below:

To get Visa beforehand one needs to download the application form

  • The application form is to be filled completely mentioning all the details. The columns which do not require your information should not be left empty. Instead Not Applicable should be written over there.

  • Passport should have a minimum validity of six months from the date of departure to Mauritius. The passport should have two blank pages for the stamp and should be in a good condition. No creases should be there on it.

  • One latest colored photograph should be submitted along. The photograph should not be more than six months old and its size should be 35 mm in width and 44 mm in length. The photograph should be clear and from hairstyle to chin should be visible. The face of the person should occupy eight percent space of the photo.

  • Confirmed hotel booking plus flight tickets of return are a must. They are important to enter the country. If there is a sponsor then a sponsorship letter should be there.

  • Even financial affordability of the whole trip is to be attached in the file.

These all documents are to be submitted and the file will be processed in a single day. Once you are done with the processing, the visa will be issued and stamp will be there on the passport. The visa for Mauritius is given for a period of 60 days to the applicant if all the documents are complete. There is no visa fee for this country.

For the on arrival visa, the processing is very simple. Once you reach the country you need to stand in the application queue where you will be asked to submit various documents the documents are:-

  • Your passport

  • Application form completely filled

  • Passport Size photo attached to the form

  • Return tickets plus the hotel booking

  • Sponsorship letterif there

  • Immigration form

Once you are done with this your file will be taken by the officer and will ask you to show the currency you have and mention it on the documents. The minimum currency which you should have is 100 USD per day in Mauritius. After submission in few minutes, you will get back your passport with the Visa for Mauritius on it. There is no Visa fee even for the on arrival visa.

Thus, this is the simple process to obtain Visa for Mauritius. There is no chance of rejection of Visa for this country, so it is preferred by a maximum number of Indian Tourist.
