Air ticket-
The return air ticket is a compulsory thing to be attached along. From this, the Embassy will be aware that you have no intention to settle down there.
Funds-
It is very important to show your funds as to know the affordability of the trip. A minimum of 100 USD per person is required. If the hotel booking is not there than 50 USD more are to be shown for proving your affordability.
With all these documents you can get the tourist visa for Maldives. The visa will be granted for a period of 90 days.

If you are found working on tourist visa
If found practicing any unlawful activity or even have intentions to practice such activity.
Suspected of disrupting the political or religious harmony.
Report about you creating a public nuisance.
Found with expired stay permit. This means your visa is over and you are still staying there.
During you stay in Maldives tourist visa can be renewed. The person has to apply to immigration before the expiry of the visa which was granted on entering Maldives. For the extension, Immigration will check your funds and will assure that you are capable enough to stay for more time in Maldives. The extension for the Visa can only be applied through the Visa Extension Application form, at the Head office. This is to be done during the working hours of the office. The extension will be given for the period not exceeding 90 days more. A Visa fee of Rufiyaa 750 will be charged for the extension.`
