1. Manali - Himachal Pradesh

At an altitude of 2,050 mts in the Beas River Valley, Manali is a go to station during summer or winter season. It is well connected through road to important tourist destinations like Leh, Shimla, Kullu, Dharamshala and New Delhi. Tonnes of snow and curvy slopes are welcoming to anyone and everyone. Also, ski slopes in the nearby Solang Valley are a choice for skiers. The best time to visit the place for skiing is from January to February.
2. Kufri - Himachal Pradesh
Kufri in Himachal Pradesh is breathtakingly beautiful when winters descend on this hill station. At a distance of 28 km from Shimla, capital of Himachal Pradesh, it is thus well connected to the mainland. This place is best visited in winters when it is covered with a nice white sheet of snow and you can ski to your heart's content. The ideal time for skiing here is from the winter months of November to February.
3. Gulmarg - Jammu and Kashmir
Gulmarg or "Meadow of Flowers" is a town, a hill station, a popular skiing destination in Baramula district, Jammu and Kashmir. Famously known as the "Heartland of Winter Sports" it has been recognized as the 7th best skiing destination of Asia. Various skiing courses are also organized here. The best time to visit the region is during the months of December to March. Travelling to Gulmarg is made easy by various options available. The nearest airport to Gulmarg is Sheikh-Ul-Alam International Airport located in Srinagar. The distance between Gulmarg and Srinagar is 56 kms. The nearest railway station to Gulmarg is the Jammu Railway Station. Trains from all the major Indian cities and states connect to Jammu from where one can take a taxi to reach Gulmarg. Also, one can travel by public transport from Srinagar, Jammu etc.
4. Pahalgam - Jammu and Kashmir
A small town located in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. A major destination where snow skiing is regularly organized, as are skiing courses for those looking to learn skiing. It has multiple ski slopes as options. The place is well connected to Srinagar via 2 1/2 hour trip one way. From Jammu it takes 8 hours to reach Pahalgam. The best time to visit is in the months from December to March for a winter ski holiday.
