Most famous place of Bhutan -Located amidst the dense forest of Blue Pines and Rhododendrons, Tiger Nest Monastery is set on a mountain cliff. To reach this amazing place one has to climb 900 meters up to the hill. You can take a Pony if you desire though it might only take you till the cafeteria of the monastery. Here onwards you need to walk a steep stairway to reach the main Snow Lion Cave. This monastery holds great importance as from here only Guru Rinpoche incepted Buddhism in Bhutan. Placed strategically between two rivers Pho Chu and Mo Chu the dzong is a 3 hours drive from the national capital Thimpu.
