About Los Barrios
Los Barrios is a small town and municipality in the south of Spain. It is a part of the province of Cadiz, which in flip is a part of the Andalusia region. It belongs to the Campo de Gibraltar comarca. The city's name approach “the districts” or “the neighbourhoods” in English.Although the vicinity is known to have been inhabited considering prehistoric times, the city is of distinctly current provenance, having been based in 1704 by using refugees from Gibraltar. After leaving behind their homes following Gibraltar's seize by way of Anglo-Dutch forces throughout the War of the Spanish Succession, a number of the inhabitants of Gibraltar took shelter around the prevailing hermitage of San Isidro on the confluence of the rivers Guadarranque, Guadacorte and Canas.
The temporary encampment finally have become a everlasting agreement. In 1717 the settlers have been ordered to pay attention themselves at Los Barrios and the neighbouring groups of Algeciras and San Roque. The 3 communities had a single management at San Roque until undergoing a three-manner split in 1756. Los Barrios became principally an agricultural and fishing district until the Francisco Franco generation; it's far now closely industrialised. The A381 avenue begins right here and it's far called the Bull Route as it travels past many bull farms. Guadacorte and Los Cortijillos are settlements and districts of Los Barrios.
