About Dos Hermanas
Dos Hermanas is a Spanish city 15 km south of Seville in Andalusia, with a populace of 131,317 starting at 2015. The city's name, which signifies "two sisters", dates from its establishing in 1248 by King Ferdinand III of Castile and respects Elvira and Estefania Nazareno, the two sisters of Gonzalo Nazareno, one of the lord's primary military authorities. Hence locals of Dos Hermanas are called nazarenos.
In Tirso de Molina's play El burlador de Sevilla y convidado de piedra 1612-1620, Dos Hermanas is referenced as where Don Juan Tenorio figures out how to mediate himself in the marriage of two plebeians, Arminta and Batricio, whom he keenly deludes. The Trickster of Seville and Stone Guest is the play from which the legend of "Wear Juan" determines the name. The fundamental financial exercises of the city today are the generation and dispersion of olive oil and "Spanish olives", together with a critical number of administration enterprises. Spanish popstar Melody originates from Dos Hermanas.
