Antequera

Antequera is a city and municipality within the Comarca de Antequera, province of Malaga, a part of the Spanish autonomous network of Andalusia. It is known as "the coronary heart of Andalusia el corazon de Andalucia due to its valuable place among Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, and Seville. The Antequera Dolmens Site is a UNESCO World Heritage web site. Due to its strategic role in transport communications, with four airports placed about one hour away and the railway jogging from the Port of Algeciras, Antequera is rising as an essential centre of transportation logistics, with numerous business parks, and the brand new Logistics Centre of Andalusia Centro Logistico de Andalucia.

In addition, the Vega de Antequera, watered through the river Guadalhorce, is a fertile agricultural place that provides cereals, olive oil, and veggies in abundance. Antequera borders with the municipalities of Humilladero, Mollina, Alameda, Benameji Province of Cordoba, Cuevas Bajas, Sierra de Yeguas, Fuente de Piedra, Campillos, Villanueva de Algaidas, Archidona, Villanueva del Rosario, Ardales, Colmenar, Casabermeja, Villanueva de la Concepcion, Almogia, Valle de Abdalajis and Alora. The municipal territory includes the villages of Bobadilla, Canadas de Pareja, Cartaojal, Colonia de Santa Ana, La Higuera, La Joya, Los Llanos, Los Nogales and Villanueva de Cauche.
