Alhaurin de la Torre

Alhaurin de la Torre is a city within the province of Malaga, Andalusia, in southern Spain. The city is a part of Malaga Metropolitan Area and of the comarca of Valle del Guadalhorce. It sits at the doorway to the Guadalhorce valley at the slopes of the Sierra de Mijas mountains, some 17 km from Malaga. The municipality covers a place of 82 km2 between the Sierra de Mijas and Malaga basin, and is crossed by means of the river Guadalhorce.

It is the maximum populous municipality in the location of Guadalhorce and 1/3 inside the province, with 33,567 population, in the back of Antequera and Ronda.
