Vanderbijlpark is a industrial city with 95,000 inhabitant on the Vaal River in the south of the Gauteng area of South Africa. Named after Hendrik van der Bijl, an electrical designer and industrialist, Vanderbijlpark is home to Vanderbijlpark Steel already part of ISCOR South African Iron and Steel Corporation, presently part of the worldwide organization ArcelorMittal. With neighboring towns Vereeniging and Sasolburg it shapes the Vaal Triangle, a noteworthy modern district of South Africa. Situated in the district region of Sedibeng and the neighborhood region of Emfuleni.
