Devinska Kobyla

Remarkable as far as vegetation an exceptionally fascinating area is the National Nature Reserve Devínska Kobyla. It is arranged in the southernmost piece of the Little Carpathians on a region of 101 hectares between Devínska Nová Vá, Dúbravka and Devín in the region of Bratislava. The uniqueness of the domain is archived by the nearness of 234 types of mushrooms, 110 lichen species, 100 types of greenery and 1 100 types of plants.

A few dry and thermophilous groups with uncommon and ensured types of plants and creatures develop on the south and southwest slants of Devin Kobyla. The timberlands on the southwest inclines are whatever is left of the first thermophilic plums with oak, verdant oak and cedar oak. There is a 4 km long instructive stroll through the National Nature Reserve .

The most fascinating area of Devin Kobyla is a sandy outcrop on Sandberg Hill. There are shake stores from the third ocean bed with on a level plane laid layers, whose age is assessed at 14-16 million years. Indeed, even these days, there is the rubbish of the marine creatures.
