Camp Kigali Memorial

The Camp Kigali Memorial is situated in the Kigali city of Rwanda. The 10 stone segments you find here check the spot where 10 Belgian UN peacekeepers were killed on the main day of the genocide. Initially conveyed to ensure the home of direct Prime Minister Agathe Uwilingiyimana, the fighters were caught, incapacitated and brought here by the Presidential Guard before being slaughtered.

Each stone segment speaks to one of the troopers and the flat cuts in it speak to the officer's age. The slug showered working in which the fighters passed on now houses a little presentation on the genocide.
