It consists of a unmarried village, Orlat. Orlat is one of the oldest villages inside the Mărginimea Sibiului. The 1st Romanian Border Guards Regiment installed by using an Imperial decree signed by Maria Theresa of Austria on April 15, 1762 became positioned right here.
