About Laslea
Laslea, formerly Laslea Mare, is the village of house of the Romanian county, Sibiu. The vicinity is inhabited from the Neolithic. In the Middle Ages it become the ownership of the Cluj-Manastur Abbey. The first documentary testimonial on September sixteen, 1309, under the Latin name Sanctus Ladislaus. The earliest records about the Saxon population within the locality date again to 1488, while 77 families were surveyed, a school with a trainer, a milling mill and 16 abandoned homes.
The population can be expected at approximately 330 humans. It is well worth citing that the town already had a village college in 1488. Between 1902 and 1911 the evangelical priest of the locality became Viktor Roth, who later have become an honorary member of the Romanian Academy. In 1923 the commune become called Laslea Mare and had 1,246 population. From an administrative point of view, it belonged to the Sighisoara net in Tarnava-Mare County.
