About Carta
Carrza, previously Karta Saseasca, is the village of the commune with the same call in Sibiu County , Transylvania, Romania. At Carta there has been a monastery founded considering the fact that 1202 by the Cistercian monks. The look of the Cistercians in Carta is associated with the marriages of the Arpadian kings.
During the reign of Geza II, the abbey of Czikador was hooked up in Hungary, and in 1179, the only from Igris. Unlike the Igris abbey, the Cistercian monastery of Carta changed into capable of recover after the tremendous invasion of the Tartars in 1241, but was abolished via the choice of King Matia Corvin on 27 February 1474.
