About Alexandria
Alexandria is the capital city of the Teleorman County. It is found south-west of Bucharest, towards the Bulgarian fringe. The city is arranged on the Vedea River and has 45,434 inhabitants.Alexandria was named after its organizer, Alexandru D. Ghica, Prince of Wallachia from April 1834 to 7 October 1842. Its populace in 1900 was 1,675. Its main exchange at that point, was in grain, dispatched by rail to the Danubian port of Zimnicea, or by waterway to Giurgiu.
