Sortland

Sortland, on North Sami Suorta is a municipality and a town in Vesteralen in Nordland. The municipality includes areas on the islands of Langoya and Hinnoya. Between the islands, Sortlandssundet runs. The municipality borders north in the direction of Oksnes and Andoy, within the east toward Kvaefjord, within the south toward Lodingen and Hadsel, and in the west in the direction of Bo.
