Sandnes is a metropolis and municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is the 7th largest city in Norway and it lies right away south of the metropolis of Stavanger, the 4th biggest city in Norway. Together, the Stavanger/Sandnes place is the 3rd biggest city place in Norway. Sandnes is part of the district of North-Jaeren. The city is split into thirteen boroughs.
