About Lorenskog
Lorenskog is a district in Akershus area, Norway. A suburb of Oslo, it is a piece of the Oslo urban territory and the customary district of Romerike. The regulatory focus of the region is the town of Lorenskog. Lorenskog was isolated from the region of Skedsmo on 1 January 1908. The district initially the ward is named after the old and no longer existent Leirheimr ranch. The primary component is leirr which signifies "dirt" and the last component is heimr which signifies "property" or "homestead". The addition skogr signifying "wood" was included later, changing the significance to "the forests around the ranch Leirheimr". Before 1918, the name was spelled "Lorenskogen".
Lorenskog's arms date from modern occasions. Allowed on 26 July 1957, they demonstrate a red waterwheel on a gold foundation. Water-driven sawmills were previously a significant piece of the region's economy. Lorenskog Church Lorenskog kirke is a medieval period church. The structure material was block and quarried limestone. The congregation dates to ca. 1150. The congregation is of rectangular arrangement and has 140 seats. In 1608 the congregation got a lectern. The west pinnacle was made of wood and was raised in 1864.
