About Rijnsburg
Rijnsburg is a network within the eastern a part of the city of Katwijk, within the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The call means Rhine's Burg in Dutch. The records starts manner before the 6th century when there has been a town referred to as ‘Rothulfuashem’. Later approximately 900 there was a stronghold, that could explain the modern-day name of the village Rijnsburg, which means that 'Rhine fort'. Rijnsburg was a separated municipality until 1 January 2006, when, together with Valkenburg, it changed into brought to the municipality and town of Katwijk.
Before that, the municipality blanketed an area of 6.07 km2 of which 0.21 km2 is water, and had a population of 14851 inhabitants on 1 June 2005. Rijnsburg's principal to reputation is that the philosopher Spinoza lived there from 1661 to 1663. The modest house wherein he lived remains preserved, and can be visited. Rijnsburg is positioned in a place referred to as the "Dune and Bulb district" and is one of the locations of the flower auction company Royal FloraHolland.
