About Maasland
Maasland is a town inside the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. It lies in the municipality of Midden-Delfland and covers a place of 24.42 km². The first symptoms of a network started lower back in 925 whilst the place have become a part of the county of Graaf Dirk II and a church changed into constructed. After intense floodings during the 12th century, the Maasdijk turned into rebuilt and the city centre relocated to its contemporary website. In 1241 the German Teutonic Knights drew at the territory of Maasland. In 1450 the Poldermolen became constructed in Maasland.
During the conflict between Spain and the Netherlands a big location of the Netherlands turned into flooded which became part of the approach of Willem van Oranje. In 1574, these floodings affected Maasland, and once again the metropolis changed into flooded. It took multiple years before the metropolis became rebuilt and in 1614 a part of the town Maasland which covered the Maeslandsluys won independency and is called Maassluis.
