Haaksbergen

Haaksbergen is a municipality and city in Twente, within the Dutch province of Overijssel. The municipality has 24,270 inhabitants 1 January 2019 source: CBS. Haaksbergen is close to Hengelo 11 km and Enscheda 12 km. The general location is one zero five.55 km² of which water: zero.27 km². The municipality of Haaksbergen, which calls itself Ster in Twente , works collectively with other municipalities in the Twente Region . The earliest traces of habitation within the current municipal boundaries of Haaksbergen had been observed along the Buurserbeek . They possibly date from around 800 BC. The village of Haaksbergen arose a whole lot later, round 800 AD, as an agricultural agreement similarly downstream on the Buurserbeek.

Remains have been discovered of a wood church from across the yr 1000, the forerunner of the cutting-edge St. Pancratius church. The first mention of Haaksbergen dates from 1188 . In a 12th-century check in of goods , Count Hendrik van Dale, who also owned Diepenheim and Ahaus , listed items in the Hockesberghe parish . At the start of the 14th century, the marks were created , which persisted to exist till the mid-nineteenth century. The Marks Brammelo, Langelo, Eppenzolder Stepelo, Holthuizen, Boekelo and Haaksbergen / Honesch fell below Haaksbergen.
