About Keng Tung
Keng tung is a city in Shan State, Myanmar. It is the principal town of Kengtung Township. Kengtung is placed on the National Highway 4 and on the AH2 and AH3 of the Asian Highway. The early records of Kengtung is made of myths and legends. The oral tradition of the Wa human beings says that the historical metropolis of Kengtung became founded in the remote past by using them because the original inhabitants of the area, and was later reestablished by the grandson of King Mangrai after defeating the Wa. This migration of the Chiang Mai dynasty within the 13th century, with the founding a brand new state which became later named Lanna, has resulted in Kengtung having a distinct sort of Tai populace from the relaxation of the Shan State, the Tai Khun.
