Yehualtepec

Yehualtepec is one of the 217 municipalities that make up the Mexican state of Puebla. It became mounted in 1895 and its head is the metropolis of Yehualtepec. The name of Yehualtepec comes from the Nahuatl yahualli this means that "roundness or circle", tepetl this means that "hill" and c which means that "in". Altogether meaning "surrounded through hills". The authentic population of the territory turned into made from Nahua companies. By 1604 the region become incorporated into the fourth congregation, an ecclesial community become established and a brotherhood turned into legal in honor of the Immaculate Conception.

In the nineteenth century it become a part of the district of Tecamachalco . In 1895 it became mounted as a free municipality. Yehualtepec covers 125.Seventy seven km² and is at a mean altitude of 2100 meters above sea degree, oscillating among 1960 and 2600 meters above sea stage. It adjoins to the north with the municipalities of Tecamachalco and Palmar de Bravo ; to the east with the municipality of Tlacotepec de Benito Juarez and Palmar de Bravo; to the south with Tlacotepec de Benito Juarez and Xochitlan Todos Santos ; and to the west with Tecamachalco and Xochitlán Todos Santos.
