About Valle de Juarez
Valle de Juarez is a city and municipality in the Southeast Region of the country of Jalisco, Mexico. According to the XII population census the municipality has 5,218 inhabitants. Its territorial extension is 91.38 km². It gets its name in honor of Benemerito de las Americas, Benito Juarez. It is thought for its gastronomy and its precise traditions. Its primary financial interest is agriculture and cattle. The Tarascans in the beginning inhabited the vicinity.
At the foot of the hill referred to as Picacho and on the junction of the Paso Ancho and Toledano rivers. The Avila and Martinez families lived there. Where the metropolis is now, there had been only three huts. In the ravines the solar rose, or zacate, and known as the region La Loma. In 1521 the Spanish conquistadors, captained by Cristobal de Olid, sent by means of Hernan Cortes to the conquest of the dominion of Colima, passed via right here. By 1522, this city turned into subjugated by means of Olid, Juan Alvarez Chico and Gonzalez Sandoval. Towards 1885 Pascual Contreras started out to build a few houses in La Loma, transferring then the citizens of El Tequestquite.
