About Teul
Teul Municipality is a town and region situated in the south of the Mexican province of Zacatecas, between the state capital of Zacatecas and the city of Guadalajara. In contrast to a large portion of the remainder of the express, its economy has been founded on horticulture and animals, as opposed to mining, and it is noted for its generation of agave and mezcal. The town has been named a Pueblo Magico to advance a travel industry.
The name Teul originates from the Chichimeca expression teulinchan, which signifies "homes of the divine beings". After the Conquest, its name progressed toward becoming San Juan Bautista de Teul, prepending the name of its benefactor holy person. In 1935, the postfix of "de Gonzalez Ortega" was included. Jesus Gonzalez Ortega, a legislative head of Zacatecas and partner of Benito Juarez, lived in the town as a kid, at that point returned sometime down the road to wed. Little is known about the early inhabitants of the territory, however settlements likely return the extent that the main century of the Common Era, as indicated by archeological proof, for example, tombs. The Caxcans landed here around the center of the 7th century, assuming responsibility for the valley from the Nahuas and the Techueshes. They remained the predominant gathering until the landing of the Spanish.
