About Teocuitatlan de Corona
Teocuitatlan de Corona is a city and municipality inside the Southern Region of the country of Jalisco, Mexico. It is placed approximately 64 km south of Guadalajara. According to the II Population and Housing Count of 2005, the municipality had 10,226 inhabitants. Its call is interpreted as Junto al Oro. Its territorial extension is 409.98 km² and the populace is especially dedicated to the number one zone. This area was ruled by the lordship of Tzaullan.
Their primitive settlers have been of the tribe of the cocas. Captain Juan Alvarez Chico arrived in the region in 1521 and Alonso de Avalos did it in 1523. The first town council started to characteristic on January 1, 1845, in line with decree of October 6, 1844; the identical decree it erected in municipality. On February 15, 1890, the call of Teocuitatlan de Corona turned into given to the municipal head in honor of Ramon Corona, who carried out a fruitful work in favor of the entity. From 1825 it belonged to the 4th canton of Sayula; in 1872 the top of the branch of Zacoalco moves to Teocuitatlan.
