About Pajacuaran
Pajacuaran which turned into fed by using the Douro River. The Chichimec settlements were made on an island within the lagoon, which was later inhabited by way of the Mexicas and later by way of the Purepechas. During the time of the conquest, the region becomes subdued via Nuno de Guzman. From a nearby hill, Spanish explorers first noticed the Chapala lagoon. In 1530, the first evangelist to seem inside the region became Fray Juan de Badias, who called the town with the name of San Cristobal Paxacuaran belonging to the parish of Ixtlan.
In 1789, Pajacuaran modified to its contemporary region, the old settlement, which becomes an island, is now a small hill that is referred to as Pueblo Viejo. During the War of Independence of Mexico, Pajacuaran turned into the scene of confrontations between realists and insurgents. In 1825, whilst independence became consummated, it becomes held in Ixtlan, and this, on the equal time, depended on the municipality of Zamora. On November 27, 1922, by using the deputy Luis Mora Tovar and Archbishop José Mora del Río, the municipality of Pajacuaran turned into created.
