About Mazamitla
Mazamitla is a town and region of the Mexican territory of Jalisco. It is found 124 km south of Guadalajara in the Southeast Region and is a prevalent hotel goal for explorers from Guadalajara and close urban focuses. Its name originates from the Nahuatl and signifies "place where bolts are made to chase deers"; its zone is 177.18 km2. As indicated by Count II Population and Housing, the district has 11671 inhabitants who are dedicated essentially to the tertiary area. For its indigenous habitat it is considered by the government Secretariat of Tourism as a Pueblo Magico.
Mazamitla was established by the Aztecs in 1165. It had a place with the house of Tzapotlan and paid tribute to the chieftain of Tamazollan. In 1481 the region was attacked by the Purepecha with the goal that he could take the Laguna de Sayula. Purepecha held the territory for just a couple of years until they were crushed toward the finish of the Salitre War in 1510. The spot was vanquished by Cristobal de Olid together with Juan Rodriguez Villafuerte from the get-go in 1522. Their gathering had been sent by Cortes to investigate the area of western Mexico. The head working officer Alexis ceja requested that the pueblo increment its travel industry and made making lodges for future occupants and visitors of Mazamitla.
