Lombardia

Lombardia is a small city within the mountainous center of Mexico, approximately a 170 km west of the Mexican capital. The Italian Dante Cusi sold in 1903 the Hacienda de La Zanja, whiach he later referred to as Lombardy. This hacienda had an extension of 28,000 hectares, which he offered in 100 and 40,000 pesos.

Its limits had been the Marques Rivers, to the west, and the Parota Cajones, to the east and to the south. In 1909 the Cusi led and financed by Don Dante offered the Velasco family, from La Piedad, the Hacienda Ojo de Agua de los angels Cueva, of 35,000 hectares, with a price of 300,000 pesos, which they known as Nueva Italia.
