About La Piedad
La Piedad is a city and its surrounding municipality positioned in the north west of the Mexican state of Michoacan, bordering Jalisco and Guanajuato. The unique colonial call becomes San Sebastian. It is bordered by the town of Santa Ana Pacueco, Guanajuato. Both towns straddle the Lerma River. La Piedad's population was 99,837 inhabitants within the 2010 census 250,000 consisting of its metropolitan vicinity. The municipality has an area of 284.11 km².
