About Hostotipaquillo
Hostotipaquillo is a town and region in the Valleys Region of the territory of Jalisco, Mexico. It is found around 84 km west of Guadalajara. As per the II Population and Housing Count of 2005, the region had 8,228 inhabitants. Its name originates from Nahuatl and is translated as "Sobre la Cueva". It has a regional augmentation of 697.94 km² and its population is for the most part committed to the essential segment. The crude seat of the town was toward the west of its present area, in a spot known by Coronilla.
The locale was a necessary advance for the consistent migration of Nahuatl clans. It was possessed by the Texcoquines, Coanes, Tepehuanes and different clans of Nahuatl beginning. They worshiped the sun; Proof of this is a sanctuary committed to such a god found by Fray Francisco Lorenzo after touching base at the town. The triumph of Hostotipaquillo was done by Cristobal de Onate in 1530. Amid the provincial time frame, the town was a piece of the New Galicia. The cacique de Ostotipac, for the rest, was prepared for the call made in 1538 by the cacique Goaxicar de Xochitepet, who advanced an uprising against the Spaniards and the religious.
In 1605 its mines are found, being called from that time Real de Real de Hostotipaquilla. The first to make factories to profit metals were Isabel Perez and the siblings Diego and Francisco Rodriguez Ponce. In 1824 it happened to have a place with the division of Tequila; in 1835 it loses the metal of San Pedro Analco, which goes to the district of Atemanica. In 1825 it was at that point a district.
