Amatitan

Amatitan is the head of a municipality in the Mexican state of Jalisco , and is domestic to one of the international's biggest tequila distilleries. It is the area of "La Hacienda de San Jose del Refugio", a distillery which makes " Tequila Herradura " and "Tequila Jimador" and is the principle source of employment for the residents of the town and surrounding communities. The Town of Amatitan is the place of business for the " Municipality of Amatitan" which also consists of the surrounding communities of Santiaguito, Villa de Cuerambaro, Chome, La Mata, La Conchilla, El Amarrilo, Agua Fría, Santa Rosa and numerous different smaller settlements.

Amatitan can be visited from Guadalajara through taking the Tequila Express , to train which runs on Saturdays from Guadalajara to Amatitán, there travelers are offered tours of the neighborhood distilleries and the close by city of Tequila , placed 14 kilometers north of Amatitan,. Amatitan also can be reached from Guadalajara through vehicle riding north on Mexican Federal Highway 15 , it's miles a force of about 45 mins and the road is stored in pretty suitable shape.
