Puchong

Puchong is a major town and a parliamentary constituency inside the Petaling District, Selangor, Malaysia.The first settlers of the region have been the Orang Asli network in a village called Kampung Pulas. In 1900, heron have been aplenty inside the vicinity and have been a staple for the Orang Asli.However, it is believed that the region become explored by using immigrants from Sumatra and Java. At first, the human beings worked as fishermen, rubber tappers and miners.

During the communist insurgency in 1948, all residents were resettled to an area that is known as Kampung Baru Batu 14.During the Eighties, Puchong consisted of a single -lane avenue going for walks through estates and villages. Puchong improvement started out circa 1985, when the mining licenses expired and infrastructure started to be constructed.Since then, urbanization has happened swiftly with many industrial parks, commercial centres and home regions mushrooming along Jalan Puchong. Residential areas consist of Taman Kinrara, Bandar Bukit Puchong 2 and Bandar Kinrara.Puchong has both local and overseas banks.There is a moist marketplace referred to as Puteri Mart at Bandar Puteri and the Town Park in which residents can keep for his or her groceries. Residents of Puchong also can do their buying in Tesco, IOI Mall Giant, AEON, Puchong Parade and Puchong Plaza shopping malls. Bank of China Bhd opened its 6th branch in Malaysia at Tower 2, PFCC, Bandar Puteri Puchong in 2012.
