There are ious cultural locations in Kota Kinabalu. The Sabah State Museum, located close to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, is the main museum of Sabah`. There are the Science and Technology Center, Sabah Art Gallery, and the Ethno Botanic Gardens are closely located to The Sabah State Museum. Wisma Budaya Art Gallery in the downtown area has some national and additionally regional displays.

There are numerous relaxation spots and monitored regions in and around Kota Kinabalu. Anjung Samudra KK Waterfront is a waterfront amusement spot in the downtown area which highlights eateries, bistros, bars, and a nightclub.Tanjung Aru, situated around 6 kilometers from the downtown area, is one of the shorelines along the West Coast. The Kota Kinabalu City Bird Sanctuary is located inside the Likas Bay area. There are a large number of good shopping malls in Kota Kinabalu. Outside the city, Crocker Range Park, is a popular spot for jungle trekking and camping.
