Wadi Rum Village

It is hard to describe the beauty of Wadi Rum in just a paragraph. Wadi Rum, the largest valley in Jordan, with its most breathtaking landscape is a must visit destination. The desert is spilled with abrupt rocky rises, some of which rise to a height of 1700m. Wadi Rum has been home to many indigenous tribes since prehistoric times and one can still see the remnants of their culture in the form of many temples, rock paintings and many rock formations. There is absolutely nothing to see till where your eyes can wander; just sand and observe. The high rocks and long shadows of the cliffs create optical illusions which probably is the essence of its beauty. Calmness and tranquility floods your mind as all you hear is utter silence.
